Holidays

A myriad of holidays are celebrated across the Feng Empire, some widespread and others contained to more local areas. Some examples include:
    • The Emperor's Birthday - A day of celebration all across the empire, people are given rest from their usual duties to enjoy themselves. Festivals and parades are often held for this holiday, with many local variations being practiced.
    • Ma Xin's Return - One of the great heroes of the empire, Ma Xin, sails across the world going on grand adventures, exploring, and occasionally a little bit of piracy. Still, while he is blessed with divine longevity, he needs to regularly restore it through a ritual with the Emperor. Upon his return, he is hailed as a hero, and tales of his adventures are recorded into record.
    • Yu Jiao's Blessing - On the final full moon of the year, the sacrifice of Yu Jiao is remembered in a more private tribute. Close families and friends gather together, enjoying a feast and sharing gifts with one another, as the princess once did with her closest friends.
    • Zhen's Advance - A midsummer holiday, it is observed during the summer solstice when the twin suns converge in the sky, eclipsing one another and becoming one, to celebrate the unification of the Jieyuan continent. Music and dance are common, with an entire swarm of street vendors peddling goods and quickly cooked foods.
    • The Lover's Eclipse - A holiday dedicated to the heart. Once a year, the twin suns, the moon, and the Wandering Star perfectly align, creating a perfect eclipse. On this day, lovers come together to exchange sweets and make declarations of their affection with one another.
    • Moon's Bounty - A holiday originally imported from Seiyou to celebrate the end of harvest season. People come together over a week to celebrate hard work through festivities, eventually culminating with a viewing of full moon at the end of the holiday.
