Water Yato

The Water Yato is a lovely creature that appears during the wetter seasons and rolls around in puddles when they appear, although quickly make themselves scarce in the brightest hours of daylight. In single or couple they create somewhat soothing clicking sounds to nearby homes who may have some living within the dew-dropped trees nearby although a colony making such a sound often causes disturbances that many locals would rather not listen to. Known to pick up items left astray by the common folk, many tales depict them as cheeky thieves that tease the easily grumbled during the calmest rainstorms but make the politest sounds of their presence known in quiet portions of the night.
