Arador

Geography

The land of Arador, or the Erosian Peninsula, is a large section of land which juts out from the south-western portion of the continent of Faenir. It is defined, and named after, the River Eros, which flows out from the Grey Mountains to the north, and into the sea to the south.   Arador is a lush region, and is generously forested. The northern portion of the peninsula is dominated by the Grynda Wood, and the south-east is covered in the Spindle Forest. Much of the land is extremely fertile, and suitable for farming, with many small rivers and creeks flowing through from the hills to the shore.   The coastline of Arador is quite craggy, mostly comprising of rocky cliffs and pebbled beaches. There are some rare sanded beaches, which are suitable for landings by larger boats, but most naval staging grounds are deeper harbours around the craggy shore.

Fauna & Flora

Arador is covered in a typical temperate ecosystem, with deciduous trees filling the forests of the region, and sturdy grasses covering the hills. Cows and sheep can be found in the grasslands, and the forests are inhabited by deer and bears. Mountain Lions and goats can be found in the northern mountainous areas of Arador.
