Aasimar
Aasimar are human-based plane-touched, that contained blood blessed with otherworldly characteristics. They were often descended from celestials and other creatures of pure good alignment. While being predisposed to good alignments, Aasimar by no means were always good, though they naturally leaned toward it.
Aasimar bore their celestial heritage through many physical features that varied per individual. Most commonly, aasimar were similar to humans, like tieflings and other plane-touched. An abundance of Aasimar were unnaturally beautiful, and they were often significantly taller than humans as well. While some Aasimar are immediately identifiable as such, others were near indistinguishable from their human ancestors, commonly standing out with only one unusual feature depending on their specific heritage. Many Aasimar also had light covering of feathers on their shoulders, where an angel's wings might sprout. As in tieflings, Aasimar bloodlines could sometimes run dormant for generations, reemerging after being hidden for some time.
Most Aasimar were raised cautious around others, and like tieflings, were misunderstood from time to time, though never to the extent many of the fiendish bloodlines are. Even those raised by understanding parents could not escape their strangeness, or the curiosity (or even fear) that their unique nature sometimes provoked. Many Aasimar even suffered prejudice, something that deeply hurt the soul of the Aasimar in the question since most had an inherent bent towards empathy for others. Though many Aasimar are good in nature due to their celestial heritage, not all were, just as not all tieflings were evil. Some Aasimar fell into the traop of evil, corrupted perhaps by the experience or the counsel and aid of an evil god. Many Aasimar avoided this path, few Aasimar recieved direct counsel from their celestial ancestor or a creature in its service. These individuals were the Aasimar most likely to manifest the stereotypical virtues of a celestial.
Aasimar are a wise and charismatic race, possessed of strong insights and powerful allure with which most races could not compare. Aasimar also are quite perceptive, noticing things that others did not, and many could see largely unimpeded in darkness. While also possessing the ability to cast magical light to aid those who were blind in the darkness. Aasimar were also, like many of their celestial kin, resistant to the effects of celestial burns, and necromantic abilities.
Aasimar are very rare throughout Iavrox and as such, had no true cities or socieites of their own, muck like other planetouched. Aasimar could live for the whole of their life without ever meeting another of their kind and as such, were resigned to living amongst other races.
