Wyldfolk

I'll tell ya now, don't go walking the woods at night, not when there be Wyldfolk about, spirits of all shapes n' sizes that get mighty angry when ya a man of my distinguished profession. Still, 'eard from a druid that passed through not long ago that they meant no harm, told him to tell that to Billy, just finished fillin' in 'is grave this mornin.
-Harry Hod, Lumberjack
Thought by many to predate the very existence of man itself on the world of Ibel, it is oft believed that the ever-varied Wyldfolk that litter the land are bound to the very forces of nature themselves. Believed to have great innate ties to druidic magic and the world around them. Wyldfolk are respected by the wise, their woods protected from lumberjacks and the industrial requirements of civilisation.

Dedicated Guardians

Most Wyldfolk believe it is their duty and purpose in life to protect the woods in which they reside, however, some decide to abandon their birthplace, instead carrying out the mission of protecting all forests and nature in the world.
Notably, many Wyldfolk have accepted that the other species that inhabit Ibel will continue to shape the natural world to their desires, due to this, many Wyldfolk instead work to promote responsible extraction of nature's resources and sustainable logging, fishing, farming and other such industries, sometimes assisting local peoples in doing so. However, other Wyldfolk, whilst a minority are fanatical in their protection of their territory, becoming aggressive, cruel and malicious in their efforts to defend the natural world around them.
