The White Moose

A dreaded beast that has recently haunted and harassed the loggers, hunters, trappers, and citizens of Lonelywood. Thought once to simply be an albino moose with a penchant for murder, turned out to be a Wendigo.
Exploration near the area where it was slain revealed the shedded flesh husk of a human laying frozen in the snow. Near him, a backpack containing a journal indicates the victim (and eventual Wendigo) was a sailor on a ship called the "Dark Duchess" that shipwrecked off the banks of the Sea of Moving Ice. The victim survived the shipwreck by eating the remains of his fallen sailors, inevitably turning into a Wendigo before he was able to reach the nearby town of Lonelywood.
