Trex

An Icewind Kobold that recently occupied the gem mines of Termalaine. When a group of wandering adventurers stumbled through the mines in an attempt to clear it out, they encountered Trex and his group of Kobolds, but Trex stood out amongst the rest. Trex seemed to sport a pair of crudely made fake wings that were likely used to decieve the other kobolds into believing he was a Winged Kobold. More uniquely though, Trex spoke far more eloquently than the other kobolds, displaying a heightened level of intelligence unfamiliar to kobolds.
Trex claimed he and the others were forced to seek refuge in the mines when a Yeti forced them out of the foothills of Kelvin's Cairn. However, the kobolds' invasion of the mines had forced the Termalaine workers out of the mines, leading Speaker Oarus Masthew to petition their removal. When the adventurers threatened him, Trex pleaded to allow him and the others to work in the mines for Termalaine in exchange for their continued tenancy. The adventurers appeared convinced, but later changed their mind and slaughtered Trex in the mines, revealing the source of his heightened intelligence: Janth, a ghost.
