Session 3 - Investigating Targos - Part 1

General Summary

Zanborin (and his friends) were warmly welcomed by Ma at the 3 Flags Sailing. There they met Garret Velryn, a wilderness guide, his husband Keegan, and his dog Boy who took a quick liking to Zarra, dozing contently in her arms as they spoke. Among other things, Garret confirmed that Torrga was trouble; that she's good with an ax herself but, more importantly, that she is always accompanied by brigands and a strange new bodyguard. The latter is curiously unarmed, wears Sword Coast-style summer clothing with no ill effects, and has striking ice-blue eyes. Garret also shared that infant Yetis feed on blood, raw meat and milk, and that while he's heard tales that Yetis found at birth can be acclimated to a human companion, he is skeptical this could be accomplished.
A visit to Old Man Gallaway's Trade Depot for provisions found him missing, and his former clerk Tap Tap now acting as proprietor of the Depot, purportedly at the direction of Speaker Naerth. The Party reprovisioned at Triglio's Supply, where the owner shared his distaste for Torrga and his refusal to spy for Naerth.
Later, as the rest of the Party slept, Zanborin engaged the services of a mother spider to scout Tap Tap's lodging and then he investigated the room himself, finding notes of his customer's comings and goings, with a particular emphasis on those traveling to and from Termalaine. Passing up the opportunity to steal gold and gems from Tap Tap's chest, Zanborin returned to the inn to await the morning.
