Idaria

Idaria is a world on the verge of entering a new age of science, and leaving it's long history of superstition and magic behind. That is not to imply that many don't cling to the old ways and the even older gods, but more often those that do are seen with ever more ridicule and scorn. Idaria's main continent is separated by a number of kingdoms and provinces, mostly divided by the different races. A generation of relative peace has settled onto Idaria, allowing for the new age of enlightenment to bloom, while breeding a sense of complacency and security that some feel is naive. Across the world reminders of an ancient society litter the landscape constructed by unknown people. Not even the long lived elves have any history of the builders. The most notable construction would be the twin roads, unerringly straight, running North and South, and East to West. The two roads carve through mountains, and bridge across any obstruction, intersecting at the otherwise unimpressive town of All Points.
