Last Song of Sangrieta

The Last Stand at Sangrieta (Orion’s Tale)   Verse 1 (Orion - Spoken/Sung) Gather ‘round, my friends, and lend me your ear, For the tale I spin is one of blood and fear. On Sangrieta’s shore, where the sea meets the land, Two pirate kings did take their stand. Blackheart with his blade, and Vane with his might, They met to make a trade in the dead of night. But treachery was whispered, and the Navy drew near, With a thousand men, they thought we’d disappear.   Verse 2 (Orion - Spoken/Sung) The cannons roared from the ships at sea, And soldiers crept from the shadows, thinking we’d flee. Twenty two pirates, against their tide, But we stood tall, with kings at our side. They thought they’d crush us, break us, bend, But they didn’t know it was their end. The sky was alight with fire and death, And we swore we’d fight til our final breath.   Chorus (Orion & Pirates - Sung) Boom, boom, the cannons roared, On Sangrieta’s shore, the blood did pour. Twenty two men, we held our ground, A thousand soldiers, we cut them down. Oh, we rise, we fight, we never yield, On Sangrieta’s sands, our fate was sealed. They thought we’d fall, they thought we’d die, But hear the truth from a sailor’s cry.   Verse 3 (Orion - Spoken) Let me tell you ‘bout Raki, fierce and bold, With twin blades shining, a sight to behold. Sliced with style, men fell beneath his steel, But a cannon took his arm, and yet, his spirit did not kneel. He fought on, with blood and fire in his eyes, For on that day, no pirate dies.   Verse 4 (Orion - Spoken) Cassius Grant, with a heart so fierce, Men fell to the sand when met his pierce. He was wounded, but he didn’t break, For every breath he took, was for his crew’s sake. No man on that beach was left without scars, But Cassius fought like the brightest of stars.   Chorus (Orion & Pirates - Sung) Boom, boom, the cannons roared, On Sangrieta’s shore, the blood did pour. Two hundred men, we held our ground, A thousand soldiers, we cut them down. Oh, we rise, we fight, we never yield, On Sangrieta’s sands, our fate was sealed. They thought we’d fall, they thought we’d die, But hear the truth from this sailor’s cry.   Verse 5 (Orion - Spoken) Now Gianni, the shadow, with hands so swift, Slithering past those he sent adrift. But a spear found him, and he fell to the ground, Yet his legend lived, his soul unbound. Mako, the giant, with strength unmatched, Cut down droves, every foe dispatched. He fell, knocked down, but rose like the tide, For there’s no man stronger, with honor as his guide. Final Verse (Orion - Spoken/Sung) Now Blackheart, oh, he was a force to behold, With saber in hand, he struck down all who were ever so bold. And Vane, with fists, unmatched in might, Made sure it was soldiers who fell that night. His blade shattered, but his fists remain, He fought like a storm, relentless in pain.   So here’s the count, as I stand before you all, Twenty two men stood, none did fall. Raki killed—51 before losing an arm, Cassius—54 before fatigue set in, Gianni—danced death to74, and Mako cut down—114. Now Blackheart, the best swordsman in the land had an impressive score. He fought two days killing—244, and Vane, he took the rest his blade shattered and he knew the risk— but his grand total...396.   Final Chorus (Orion & Pirates - Sung) Boom, boom, the cannons roared, On Sangrieta’s shore, the blood did pour. Two hundred men, we held our ground, A thousand soldiers, we cut them down. Oh, we rise, we fight, we never yield, On Sangrieta’s sands, our fate was sealed. They thought we’d fall, they thought we’d die, But here’s the truth from this sailor’s cry.
