Scuno the Honorable
Druidic Name: Joton
Often seen as the strictest of the gods, it is often that the followers of other dieties have the most conflict with Scuno. The temples devoted to Scuno are often courthouses, places of judgement and duty. This has caused conflict with local governments who attempt to uphold their own laws and punishment outside of the church.
Their Paladin orders are the most strict of the dieties. They are trained for years, often under another paladin, until they have memorized the 26 laws and executed justice to those who have broken them. It is only with the church and the paladin teacher that a new paladin is brought into the ranks, getting the 26 laws and they symbol of Scuno magicall tattooed onto their skin. These tattoos grant the paladin strength and a way to channel the divine energy of Scuno.
Of those Paladins some are chosen either from experience or recommendation to become Mage Hunters. This is an elite group of Paladins who hunt down those of magical nature that have broken their laws. Unlike the other Paladins they are given divine right to break the first law for those who have broken any of the other laws. They cannot channel the power of Scuno as they employ full suits of Magebane Steel armor and weapons, of the highest quality that the church can afford making them one of the most dangerous enemies to those who weild magic.
Clerics and Priests of the church are often tasked with working trials. They are the judges and lawyers of cases and they spend their times reading up on past cases and reaching out to local governments and officials. They also supply the proper authorization for selling of goods which their laws otherwise outlaw. Obtaining such authorization is inexpensive and is not a lengthy process. They have been known to hire outside help for matters that are considered too small for the church to warrent handling themselves.
