Zelarus and Autania

History

After Thanatos, Goddess of Death and the Moons and Temp, God of Life and the Sun rose to their place among the gods, their love gave birth to seven children: Xa the Sun, Zelaris the Large Moon, Autania the Small Moon, and the first each of the four Progentors.
Zelaris was large and fast, soaring across the sky above the earth. It is the moon of passion and instinct. Those that follow Zelaris are quick to act and do so on emotions. However, they are decisive and learn through their mistakes quickly.
Autania was small and slow, drifting slowly across the sky. It is the moon of thought and compassion. Followers of Autania are slow to act and cut emotions from decisions. When they have decided they create the largest impact for their decisions.
When people need help with decisions in life, they will attempt to invoke the will of the moons. They may pray to Zelaris to be decisive. Or pray to Autania when working out a problem. Zelaris cycles through its phases far faster than Autania making it the moon to track for seasons. Autania was celebrated when it became full and dreaded when both were full. Lycanthropy is active when the moons are full. When only one moon is out, only the weakest of werewolves roam the lands. When both moons are out, powerful werewolves awaken, more voracious because of the lack of transformations. This is known as Nights of the Two Full Moons.
The moons can be see in every plane within the Inner Planes. When you travel to the Outer Planes the moons are seen in different phases but progress at the same rate of time.
