Rot Eaters

Strange cattle-like creatures with six legs and no fur. Only found near Arcean Rotblooms.

Basic Information

Anatomy

These creatures have incredibly tough hide and generally have the disposition of a bull on a good day. They are generally rotund, with their six stubby legs ending in short appendages with long claws. They don't have a normal face, having eyes on either side of their head, but no ears or nose, and their mouth, a circular sucker lined with square teeth, takes up the full front of their face.

Growth Rate & Stages

Rot Eaters look generally the same from the moment they're born to the moment they die, with the only difference being their size. Rot Eaters mature slowly, taking as long as 50 years to reach full maturity, but they can grow to be as tall as 6 feet, as long as 15 feet, and as heavy as 3 tons.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Rot Eaters' primary food source is the Arcean Rotbloom, either in plant form or moss form.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

These creatures have a full range of vision, and their eyesight is superior even in conditions others would be unable to see in, such as the common dust storms. Furthermore, they share a symbiosis with the Rotbloom while infected with its parasitic form; they gain a shared telepathy with other hosts in the area.
