Vesmorian Adventuring Decree 1216

By the Vesmorian Adventuring Decree from 1216, any free person is not allowed to gain wealth worth more than two cows1 from adventuring.   Anyone breaking this law has to pay a fine that equals the value of the wealth gained from the adventuring that broke this law. The fine can also be paid off with community service within the duchy where at least 60% of the adventuring took place.   Exempt from this decree are members of adventuring guilds, approved by the crown. The guild is required to have acquired a certificate of approval from the King of Vesmore and be able to show this when asked to by officials. Members of a guild need to carry sign of prove of their membership in a crown approved adventuring guild. These signs can vary from guild to guild, but the guild must have stated their signs of prove when applying for a certificate.   1 one cow is worth about 10 SP on average per year at this time
