Drannith

Drannith is what it is built to be: a sanctuary for people of the world who do not want to live at the mercy of the monsters that plague their world. A huge city, with 4 separate walls that extend further into the surrounding area, taking up more space each time. Within each of the four walls exists a small world, each different from the last.   In the first ring lies the Argalith, a huge crystal that towers above the city of Drannith, and casting a constant green hue upon the city. Built around it is the Citadel, a complex of military buildings that house the Coppercoats, built directly around the crystal, ranking down as it gets closer to the wall. The first ring is streets and streets of perfectly framed buildings, laid out in way of absolute efficiency. Its small civilian population tends to lead to a very quiet atmosphere.   In the second ring is the residential area, boasting nearly 60% of homes in all of Drannith. It is also home to a number of taverns and markets, as well as any kind of shop you can find on Ikoria, all necessary to ensure the survival of its people. The bustle in the air and the atmosphere of the area give insight into the ring's greatest strength- the happiness of its residents. Kept safely secure behind two walls of guards, and filled with mostly civilian peoples. Theaters flourish here, among other kinds of entertainment, as the people need not worry, with nearly 160 years without a second-ring breach. The mounted crystals and watchful stingers keep flyers away as well, creating the best kind of escape from the harsh realities of Ikoria anywhere on the plane.   The third ring is considerably larger than the first two, making up 1.5 times their combined size. It is one large, scattered ring made up almost entirely of closely tended farms of vegetables and fruits, controlled mostly by the Moraud family, an incredibly wealthy family among the highest leaders in Drannith. A number of stations for receiving/sending trade to Lavabrink and beyond also exist here, with one sitting in nearly every gate to the 4th ring.   The fourth ring of Drannith is considerably farther out, with the distance between the rings coming to almost a mile. The fourth wall is so large it is incapable of being reliably patrolled, so large parts only see patrols every week or so. The inside of the ring is mostly filled with farm ranges and forested areas, heavily cultivated to ensure that Drannith constantly has lumber on hand, so they need not make any attempt to enter Indatha, or attempt to transfer logs from Zagoth.   The city's culture is strong, and mostly all-encompassing, as most people see Drannith and its incredible military as their literal savior. The religion of Drannith follows mostly the Church of the Crystal's Light, which worships the Argalith. A Lightguide serves as a religious leader, chosen from among the Glowkeepers, holy warriors of the religion. Their church talks of a day called the Zenith, which will bring more light to the crystals of the city, and smite the monsters of Ikoria so that humans may walk the plane free from fear.    One of the most impressive parts of the city is its military force, a huge force of almost 1,200 soldiers, positioned everywhere throughout the city to ensure the prevention of monster attacks on the city. The force is made up of day and night squads, basic soldiers of the army, as well as the Shard program, a magic training program for the best and brightest of the city. The secretive Whisper Squad is also part of the force, dealing usually with secretive missions and especially dangerous jobs, as they are the elite of the elite, and usually carry prototype weapons.
