Savai

The Savai triome consists of grassy plains atop mountainous cliff faces and swampy, subterranean tunnels. The huge plains are covered with seemingly permanently dead grass, that blows with the wind as it rips across the region. The plains are seemingly randomly broken by cracks in the earth, which lead far downward into the earth, into the Savayan Catacombs, a network of underground caves that are used by prey animals crossing the plains, in an attempt to avoid the predators- the dominant monster clade of Savai, cats. Not your average housecat, but big cats. Lions, tigers, and winged panthers roam Savai in packs, incredible hunters that forced the inhabitants of Drannith, the sanctuary city of Savai, into hiding. Drannith survives using a series of four walls, which prevent entry into the city except by a few heavily fortified gates. Drannith boasts the largest military force of any settlement on Ikoria, as well as one of the toughest training programs. Drannith is guarded day and night, the secret to its survival.
