Session 14 - Trek Through the Sand

General Summary

• As the sandstorm subsides, Torgella takes count of the caravan and its guards
• Lerissa and Liber inventory the mead stocks
• Torgella commands everyone to dig out the wagons from the sand. Liber steps away and digs for some of the bugs that had attacked the group
• The caravan travels for a few hours more before setting camp
• Around the campfire, the group share stories. The NPCs thank the party for their help
• On watch that evening, Prince notices that Nora is sleeping uneasily. At the end of his watch, he wakes her up to check on her. She says she's doing fine
• Prince digs through Emerald's pack and finds a ball of feathers and fluff, and a small rock. Continuing on, he finds a bottle of wine in Haeni's pack and pours a drink to help Nora sleep
• In the morning, break camp and hit the road. Liber notices that Nora is tired, but she still says she's okay
•  Later on that day, the party spots a boat sunken in the sand a ways off the past
• The group parks the wagons and sends the party to investigate
• At the boat, Liber and Prince see movement, Liber through the grate into the hold, and Prince in the sand around the boat
• In the hold is a skeleton slowly reaching toward Liber's ankles, in the sand a giant scorpion
• Liber thaumaturges an earth-rumbling, angering the scorpions and burying the skeletons into the sand in the hold
• After dispatching the creatures with minimal issue, the party splits up to investigate.
• Liber thinks the scorpions are pretty cool, if a little ordinary. The boat is ID'd as being old construction belonging to the Osnian fleet. The skeletons in the hold are coup-de-graced
• In the captain's quarters, find a lockbox that Olut tries to pick to no avail and keeps with him, a logbook that Liber claims, and a spyglass missing a lens
• Lerissa opens the ship's hold, and sand pours out into the hall. Too filled with sand to enter
• Liber searches the cabin once more for the missing lens piece before heading back to the wagon
• Explain to the caravan group what they found
• Hit the road again, Olut tries the lock box one more time, but again fails
• Liber copies down interesting passages from the logbook into his journal
