Public Agenda

In the early days of the Wardens, the group's agenda was primarily exploration and colonization, aiming to chart as much of the unknown world as possible, and keep up to date their maps as the world around them changed. As civilization expanded across Ilara, their atlas was filled in with greater detail, and less and less of the world remained unexplored. In the common age, the Wardens' maps are nearly flawless, with almost every square mile of Ilara immaculately recorded by one of their members. The companies of Wardens scattered across the world each take responsibility for a particular region, and task themselves with keeping the records for that area as complete and up to date as possible at any given point. As great projects of construction are completed, often a Warden will be the first to race to its location, carefully measuring its area, and the distance to the nearest reference landmarks.

Because of their great accuracy and precision, the Wardens' maps are prized by adventurers, merchants, and military organizations alike. Whether charting a new route of commerce, or planning a combat engagement, the intricate detail used to describe the area of interest is invaluable to the map's owner, and great premiums are often paid for the newest and most up to date maps in the collection.
