The Wild Lands
Geography
The Wild Lands are a series of islands in the Nianoran Sea, south of the coast of the Copic peninsula. The archipelago's unique geography is the result of the Battle of Lost Magics, disturbed by countless eruptions of magical barrages over the course of the conflict. Travel by foot in the Wild Lands is nigh impossible without climbing gear to navigate over or around enormous cliffs of upturned earth and vast ravines cut into the ground. Rocks and trees jut out from the landscape at seemingly impossible angles
Fauna & Flora
Beyond the hazards that arise simply from navigating the terrain of the Wild Lands, the region is rife with mutated flora and fauna, having fallen victim to the effects of residual magics lingering over the land, even so many years after the end of the Battle of Lost Magics. Common wolves that had once lived among the forests of the peninsula grew much larger and more aggressive over the generations after the battle, and many of the vegetation in the region gained some level of sentience and mobility.
Beyond the natural creatures changed by the Wild Lands, the area attracts other beings from across the planes, drawn to the region by the tremendous amount of magical energy permeating the very air. The soulless husks of wizards, driven mad by their isolation and attachment to the magical realm, wander the Cursed Islands eternally, alongside other magical aberrations made more powerful by the Wild Magics pervading the land.
