Luxine

Luxine is a high grade carbon fiber material used for advanced circuitry and the majority of bots armor. It was discovered and exclusively developed by Mountain Corp and has been the brands staple for quite some time now.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Luxine is a gleaming black with visual rivets in the pattern of it. Its soft to the touch but can instantly harden if given an electrical current.

Physical & Chemical Properties

When first formed Luxine can be excessively acidic so it must be worked with great precaution. Often times Mountain will fit its employees with full hazard suits as a safety measure.

Compounds

Luxine is used alongside a plethora of other materials to create motherboards and processors for computers (mostly bots) it also is a common texture on the outside of bots as well.

Geology & Geography

The material is made up from obsidian and bits of wool as well as cotton. As such, Luxine does not have a geographical home as its all manufactured.

Life & Expiration

Since Luxine is still a relatively new material it is unlikely to have lost its consistency. But the Mountain scientists are sure that the material will last for over a hundred years if used sparingly.

History & Usage

History

Luxine was created for the first time in 2100 by Mountain Corp. Its initial use was to be a merely stylistic fashion choice or a different style fabric. However, after extensive tests were done on it it was found to be quite durable and thus was sold as a military choice material.

Discovery

Mountain Corp professor Huran Gale was the leading scientist to create the fabric.

Everyday use

Without knowing it you have probably used Luxine on a daily basis through your computer screen as a large amount of computer parts are made with it now.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Luxine is a versatile fabric that has many uses and as such many fashion designers have opened their door on making their outfits with it in mind. In fact a Mountain Corp ran fashion show showcasing only Luxine fashion was a hit last year and they have expressed interest in doing it yearly.

Industrial Use

It is used in the creation of computer chips, bot armor and processors and some fashion lines use it regularly.

Hazards

The excess of the refinement process for Luxine is biohazard material. It must be disposed of in carefully laid out containers with clear instructions.

Environmental Impact

The Mountain Corp's factory is perhaps the most environmentally unfriendly factory in Crestfall due to the creation of Luxine. It is one of the main contributors to the toxic wasteland in District 3.

Distribution

Trade & Market

Luxine has a massive amount of buyers on the market. Not only can it be found in most local markets but also big supply stores. It can be bought in bulk from the Mountain Corp holosite as well.

Storage

Luxine can be stored in any room temperature container and be fine.

Law & Regulation

As of now there are no laws or regulations in place for the creation of Luxine.
