Perdita

Perdita is the goddess of the lost and the cast outs. She is said to protect wanderers lost in the dark, and to help people find their way when hope is lost. Her worship was the least popular amongst the pantheon pre-Shattering, and many believed her power too insignificant. In a world after the Shattering however, her followers have persisted quite strongly. Her worship has increased in the wake of disaster, with many believing themselves and the world itself lost, but she has become a guiding light for many who have fallen to hopelessness.
It is said that Perdita is one of the only gods to walk among her followers, and to provide light for them when they cannot find it themselves. Religion is not popular as a whole in Ezeth and many believe their world beyond saving. Those who do still hold faith, largely hold it with Perdita. While no glittering temples exist, there can usually be a few temples and places of worship in trading cities. There, her followers are dressed plainly in grey robes and offer aid where they can in the form of healing, shelter, or food.
Also among her flock are those stricken with grief, the symbol of her worship is a lantern, for she is said to be their light in the dark, and to shepherd souls to the next life.
Worship of Perdita began in the foothills of the Dragonridge mountains of Tragor, near the city now called Bhal Todur. It is said that she appeared to a group of miners after a cave-in, and that her light led them deeper into the tunnels. Keeping their faith and following what was later described as a song, she led them out of the mountains to the city that would become Bhal Todur, a pilgrimage site for believers pre-Shattering. It is near impossible to make the journey as times are now, as doing so would include a trip through demon infested lands in Imea, and bring the traveler to the cusp of the bone worm contamination sites.
There are many who decry her followers as following a 'false god' based on strange visions fueled by gases in a cave-in. Many over the years have claimed to see her guiding light, but nothing has ever been proven. Most of her followers are non-violent, and seek to restore peace and, just as their lady did for them, be a guiding light in the dark for those who need it.
Her symbol is that of a lantern held by a hooded figure.
