Wasteland of Ezeth

A great expanse of deserts and mountains, Ezeth was the least habitable part of Ilela pre-Shattering. For reasons only known to the gods themselves, Ezeth was spared the calamities of its neighboring territories, and remains the only civilization that has withstood the tests of the Shattering, and of time.   Unlike the other three countries, it was not a place of great success and advancement. It remained more of a scattering of outposts where the other three Kingdoms sent criminals, political upstarts, homeless, and addicts. Those they deemed 'unfit' for life in the other territories. Despite the grim sentencing, the current inhabitants make do with what they have. Many are hardy and used to power and gang control shifting hands like the desert sands.   This information was kept under wraps before the Shattering, but it has become more common knowledge afterwards, with many of the current inhabitants of Ezeth carrying little to no fondness for the life that was- their primary concern with the cities that still yet stand. Most notable among them is Barren Sands, a port city that has become the unofficial capital of Ezeth.   There is no current defunct leader or ruling group over Ezeth, though many have tried. In the 150th year since the Shattering, the territory is contested between three gangs: the Silver Watch, the Crimson Jackals, and the Brass Vipers.   The descendants of many of those initial inhabitants still live in Ezeth, as it was the only one that has been seemingly untouched by the catastrophes of this land. It retains its legacy as a lawless wasteland where only the strongest survive.

Structure

It is known that there is no real structured heirarchy, but recently there are those who have been trying to change that.

History

Built on the weakest of the four laylines through Ilela, it was the least magical, the least remarkable Kingdom. The land holds many secrets, as no one really kept records of those that made Ezeth their home, and as a result of the inherent dangerous conditions, no one has really kept solid records on just what may be hidden within the sands.
