Specter of the Vale

The Specter of the Vale is the supreme leader of the Ghost Organization. This position is surrounded by secrets even within the already secret organization. While this position is supposed to be a life long appointment very few have lasted more than 5 years before being removed or rarely dismissed. In recent history they have been 4 not counting the current Specter. Usually the specter is removed by their successor but occasionaly a normally ranked Ghost has to complete the task.

Have served in all branches of the Ghost Operations They are typically the longest lasting sane ghost in the agency

They are appointed by the The Council of the Dead from the The Ascendancy of Intercontinental Security

Duties

To ensure all jobs are completed timely and with the least amount of resources wasted Keep detailed reports on jobs completed They will be the person to take the fall if the Ghost organization and what all they actually do is ever exposed

Benefits

They are one of the few people with the Ghost Organization who is well paid They are nolonger put directly in the way of danger

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

This is a life appointment the only way people outlive this post is if they are declared incompetent otherwise removal is not something that is thought of
removal for reasons other than sanity can include fumbling major jobs, wasting resources (includes operatives), have a job exxposed to the population, lose lips about skills of ghosts
