Session 3 - Taboos Bouche Report

General Summary

20th of Elouhine 1298 PS - 21st of Elouhine 1298 PS

The Interrogation

• Greylyn indulged in an impulse and delicacy she has not had in some time.
• Cina witnessed Greylyn feeding and covered for her with the rest of the group.
• Alfredo and Yia interrogated the still living and conscious Butcher. Using Yia's Zone of Truth and a suggestion from Cina, they were able to extract the following information from him (before removing his head):

They have a base five miles to the south west

They have been pushed north by vampires

They have a few dozen remaining at their base

The Familiar Hunters

• Cina and Greylyn shared a watch and detected two vampires lurking in the woods nearby.
• Greylyn intimidated them with her presence and relation to Myalo. She also discovered that they are children of Viktor Karpenko, a newer Bloodlord in the region, and that they were drawn to their group by an alluring scent of one of the party members.
• Yia became a boulder and Alfredo slept in dog pajamas.

The Last Stretch

• The party discovered a group of deceased travelers with cracked open skulls, missing brains, and tentacle marks.
• Yia realized that this was likely done by some type of Illithid, but one that is much larger than those she is familiar with.
• Cina, Greylyn, and Alfredo discussed giant land squids.

Gravehill

• The party arrived in Gravehill to see the vast amount of greenery and agriculture that existed here (in comparison to the rest of the Dead Lands).
• Yia reconnected with a guard named Low who works the Northern Gate and told him about the bodies found on the road.
• The party were informed of and then met the new pseudo leader of the town, Onvyr (or "One" as he has come to be known).
• Alfredo became Marinara, Cinamon became Peper, and Greylyn became quite curt.
• The party discovered that Onvyr was not entirely truthful about himself or his intentions.
• Alfredo planted a magic bean which grew into a magic tree which Onvyr passed off as his own, while passing out potentially poisoned fruit. He then winked at Alfredo.
• Greylyn became quite filled with anger, which led to hunger, which led to realizing how delicious Cina smells (and not in the nice way).

The group stands there watching Onvyr pass off a lie to this village and debate what to do next. Still with three days on their journey to Boneveil, is this particular evil worth the trouble?
