Session 5 - Onwards to Boneveil Report

General Summary

22nd of Elouhine 1298 PS - 23rd of Elouhine 1298 PS The Walk

The party continued on their path to Boneveil, making one more day of progress on their journey.
They encountered a Fungal Musk Ox, also commonly called a Shroomfalo.
Cina and Yia tinkered with the mystery box.

The Eternal Duel

The party came upon the ruin of a watchtower that had two humans fighting each other in single combat.
They witnessed one of them slay the other only to bring him back to life and the two then prepare for another bout.
Cina, Greylyn, and Al began heading over to speak with these people.
Yia became a rock again.
They learned that these two had an eternal, divine duty to continue an eternal duel here, and that they can offer a blessing to those that choose to engage honorably in the ritual.
Greylyn and Al were skeptical of the two and carefully considered the options.
Cina sharpened her scythe and got limber.
Eventually, all three agreed to partake in the ritual. Al and Greylyn were struck down, but Cina stood victorious over her opponent.

The Visions

Al, Cina, and Greylyn all had visions of the veil between life and death.
Al heard the voice of her deity, Erdestum, and realized just how long she has been looked after by this goddess. She was shown praise, love, and compassion. She asked for a blessing to protect her friends.
Cina stepped, once more, into the familiar liminal space, but did not see her patron or her deity of past. Instead, she was reunited with an entity she had not known for many years and missed dearly. She discovered that they felt great sorrow and regret for leaving her, when they did. Before leaving with Cina, they granted her the requested blessing to be able to protect Greylyn.
Greylyn found herself in a space that had some familiarity to her, but brought no comfort. She felt true loneliness in this void until she could feel the presence of two entirely separate entities. She knew both, one the Matron and the other Myalo, but felt confused. What she felt from and saw of the Matron conflicted with the god she had believed to be hunting her. Despite this, she chose the devil she knew for the time being. Proud of his blood child, Myalo happily granted her a blessing of power, something of which he believed she has limitless potential for.
Yia opened the box.

With these new blessings and boons, the party pressed onward, for they know, there is no going back now...
