Rivers Pass

River's Pass is not only where the waters of Belka run off, but where the last shreds of its economy end up as well. It is a town that formed out of desperation and greed. Legend says that precious minerals were lost in the ports of Belka, and a crowd of commoners chased the flow of water south to find them. They were unsuccessful, but this sickly town now has just enough hunting, scavenging, and thievery to keep itself alive. Local folklore promises that new minerals will flow from the mountains soon, and all that waited will be rewarded. Others believe that following the minerals was a curse, and those that go further south will surely be met with doom. Regardless, this town subsists mostly on smuggled goods, a corrupt appendage of the bustling trade up north.
