The Rivers Meet, The Gold Stop

Smededjerg is affectionately referred to as Rivers Bank by travelers and traders alike due to the double entendre of the name. While the city is built atop many different river banks, much of the wealth of Yggdrasil also flows into this town due to most of the nation's trade happening on water. Some see Smededjerg as a spoiled city, one beginning to become removed from the values of Jörmungandrë. Jarl Svanhild is eager to prove these people wrong.

A Problem of Linage

The Jarl of Smededjerg has one son, and is too old to have any more children. Therefore, the burden of carrying on the family line has been placed squarely on Prince Bjarte's shoulders. The only problem: Bjarte prefers men, not women. If it were any other son or daughter in all of Smededjerg, this wouldn't be a problem. But now, many are anxious to see what will happen. Will Bjarte feel forced to continue the family line, or will the Jarl-by-blood tradition be forced to adapt?
