The Lost Lands of Liodan

Of all the stories in Illica, the long-lost continent of Liodan holds the most obscure. Thousands of years ago, this large isle was the epicenter of many of the world's most significant events, from the formation of land masses to the beginnings of historic factions. Some even say that ancient beings, otherworldly creatures that are not quite god and not quite mortal, once resided in this land, and their interactions with some of Illica's first civilizations may have shaped the world as it is known today.
Now, Liodan is mostly forgotten. The continent has been broken apart, most of it sinking into the seas below and the remaining lands covered in a wrathful arctic frost. Most cartographers don't even mark Liodan on their maps; it is a piece of Illica that is truly lost to time. But sometimes, the bravest and most curious of Illica's adventurers find their way to what remains of this Liodan. It's secrets lay frozen in time, waiting for the shrewd, or perhaps the foolish, to uncover them.
