Wild's Edge

In this untamed portion of the nation of Belaklara, the deep woods hold many dangerous secrets. Wild's Edge serves as a temporary refuge from the oppressive conditions of the forest, a place full of illusory magic and deadly factions. Certain rangers are said to be able to travel these woods without trouble, leading to many rumors about their unique abilities. Even stranger are the nearby druids, whose ways are both obscure and terrifying. Local folklore explains that these woods are angry, as they used to stretch all the way across the Salamander Coast. Now, only a select few make it through alive, and perhaps even fewer know the secrets of this strange place.

Guilds and Factions

While the villagers are extremely cautious and superstitious about the wilderness and the rangers that enter it, they still rely on the rangers to hunt, slay creatures, traverse, etc. in the wilderness to keep their villages safe. So they love their rangers.. but when the rangers return from the wilderness their superstition causes them to avoid them.. in fear they may pick up any curses the rangers have been afflicted with. Wild's Edge resides higher up in the mountains to keep further away from the forest and keep them safe.
