Danforth Strongforge
Dr. Father Danforth Strongforge Ph. D hails from Ennisport.
“By this hammer I preach compassion!”
Born to Isaiah and Wolcoft Strongforge, of 39 Mill St., [VILLAGE NAME], Danforth is the 5th of 7 children. His older siblings- Edward, Bradford, Elizabeth, and Hopkin- were the most present and positive influence/role model to Danforth and Peregrine & Constance, his younger brother and sister. (Apart from their mother Wolcoft) His father Isaiah works as an “underboss” in the local village fishing fleet. Isaiah could be described as “distant” and stern, and like most fathers didn’t quite know how to express his love for his family. So he sorta just didn’t. Wolcoft was a loving mother and wife, and devoted follower of Moradin. Danforth, like most children, spent his childhood alternating between being homeschooled by mother and hanging on the village streets with the other dwarf children. Danforth was the smartest of his family, and thusly was sent on his 12th birthday to study at the seminary on the hill overlooking the village. However, very soon before he left, his older brother Bradford, seen by many as one of the villages most promising young men, was arrested and imprisoned for being part of a robbery. Upon release he was shunned by his family and village. Bradford Strongforge is now a social exile and probably an alcoholic. Danforth excelled in the academic aspects of being a priest, but less so the public speaking part. He eventually earned his doctorate in theology under the tutelage of his beloved mentor Professor Solomon. His closet friends were Martin Christopher and Mullin Rigsdale, and had many charming adventures with them. His rivals were Gilbert Prowe and Holbrook Bronzarn. Danforth was one of the priests sent to act as missionaries of Moradin. The others were the previously mentioned Gilbert Prowe (who went west), Clarke Locke (who went south), and Egrid Johnman (who went east). Danforth went north. Danforth also played second row forward on the school rugby team.
