Exploring the Lover's Crypt
Hearing the tale of the Lover's Crypt from the innkeeper, and of the hauntings that seemed to come with its tale at each harvest, the adventuring party went off in search of the burial site. It did not take much backtracking towards the Range Bow to find their quarry. Out in the fields a storm seemed to loom. A swirling mist emanating from a point off in the distance.
Hearing unnerving noises in the night, the party made camp, wishing to approach the site at daytime. Their slumber was interrupted by an interaction with a Horse lord named Houtahis, the Lord of Peaceful Departure. Houtahis revealed to the party more of the story of The Lover's Crypt, and expressed concern over the severity of this year's haunting--something that might suggest necromancy. He suggested that they enter the crypt in the morning, and to leave before the sun rose. His power would protect their travel, but only under those stipulations.
That night the party dreamed of an eye in the storm's center, looking over the Lover's Crypt.
By morning, the mist had spread through their camp. Skeletal warriors with blue eyes approached the campsite, weapons sheathed. They guided the party to the crypt's entrance.
The burial site was a stone pit that, once unsealed, led further underground.
