Personal history
Odette was the original swanmay, a type of lycanthrope who can turn into a swan. She gave her gift to a select few, who passed it on as they saw fit. As the years went on, she regretted becoming a swanmay. She made a deal with The Pumpkin King. If she found the love of a man, and he was loyal to her, she would be free of her lycanthropy. If she did not, she would become a swan forever.
She soon found a prince and fell deeply in love with him. The Pumpkin King, not wanting to be bested, created Odile to trick the prince. She was an exact replica, and the prince strayed, not realizing his mistake. Odette, finding out about the affair, threw herself from a cliff. Upon her death, she became The White Swan, a member of the Spring Court.
