Westray

Westray: The Beacon of the Eastray Woods

Ancient Beginnings:

Founded 4,000 years ago, the city of Westray blossomed on the northwestern fringes of the Eastray Woods. Its proximity to both Stoneguard and Hollow's Field, along with the vast resources of the woods, made Westray a natural trade hub and a melting pot of cultures.

Era of House Elden:

House Elden began its dominion over Westray approximately 3,100 years ago, a reign that would last for close to 2,300 years. Under their rule, Westray thrived and expanded its boundaries. The city was a beacon of stability and prosperity during this time, with House Elden introducing administrative reforms, expanding trade networks, and strengthening ties with neighboring regions.

Sinclair's Service and Elden's Diminishing Light:

Even while under the Elden rule, the Sinclairs made their presence known. Originally artisans known for crafting unparalleled armaments, their influence grew as defenders and military leaders of Westray. Notably, Sir Donovan Sinclair's military brilliance in campaigns under House Elden became the stuff of legends.

The Ascendancy of House Valliere:

As the Elden line began to dwindle, House Valliere seized the opportunity to come to power. However, their rule would be marred by their dark allegiance. The discovery of their subservience to a Vampire Lord shook the very foundations of Westray. A period of darkness and distrust overshadowed the once-great city, as the Vampire's influence seeped into the very fabric of Westray's society.

The Blademaidens and Sinclair's Rise:

In these desperate times, the Blademaidens, alongside House Sinclair, became the beacon of hope for Westray. The alliance saw Lady Morgana Sinclair leading the charge in the siege of Valliere Keep. With the downfall of House Valliere and the subsequent revelation of their dark affiliations, the Sinclairs were lauded as saviors. Recognizing their commitment to Westray's well-being, the city's council and populace bestowed leadership upon them.

The Sinclair Era and Modern Times:

Under House Sinclair, Westray has seen a renaissance of sorts. The city has returned to its former glory as a hub of culture and trade. Marcus Sinclair, the current Duke, with his experience as a valorous knight and a wise ruler, steers Westray into an era of prosperity. Backed by his siblings - Lady Helena, Sir Rowan, and Lady Elara - the city stands resilient, its legacy intact, and its future bright.   Through the eons, while rulers and challenges have changed, Westray's indomitable spirit and its people's resilience have remained unyielding, making it a beacon of hope and prosperity in the Eastray Woods.
