This was an item that was important to the disabled community during the tougher parts of their history. It represented hope and power. People wore it to say “I’m disabled and I’m proud of it”. The maker of this item is Kcutzu Mi and his friends. He was a woodworker who was part of the community. After the Warlord came to power they started to craft these for the community. It grew in popularity rather quickly. People outside of the community never really understood what it meant for a while but once they did, it would become rather risky to show it off since it could lead to them getting targeted.
