We're starting to close in on the third drop of prompts now, and the mad scramble of finishing up the existing ones has definitely set in for me. So what better way to set the mood for that than with some horror recommendations?

Book Recommendation

Beautifully illustrated and full of lore, the Field Guide to Lovecraftian Monster is a great resource both for leaning a bit about Lovecraft Mythos stuff (and running Call of Cthulhu!), but getting some horror ideas in general.

Video Recommendation

Okay, this is a bit of a goof. I'm not sure I really think this channel is that... Good, but it's sort of a guilty pleasure to watch. They do go over a lot of horror-themed things, from movies to RPGs to games, so you'll find some neat ideas there. It's worth putting up with "that chair moved slightly, EVIDENCE!" hot takes that sometimes flies around.

Game Recommenation

A 8-bit-y, Junji Ito inspired roguelite, World of Horror has some remarkable visuals and plenty of gruesome ideas for you to extract, like tiny-human faced maggots from a wound that screams. It's currently in early access, so you might want to wait and see. If you do, I'll link to someone playing it so you can check it out without paying up.
