Summer Camp 2021 Imaginaerium: Day 21

Hello everyone!
Food is one of my favorite things to world build, though I don't do it that often and even though I have all the culinary skill of a malfunctioning toaster. There's so much about a culture and society you can really show to a reader with what, and how, they eat.   Chnagahn is still one of my favorite Araea articles, just because how all the fun little cultural hooks I could pepper into the article, more so than what the food is. Even if it's fun to think about that too; what exactly do and don't they eat in fantasy settings?

A favorite in the caves, Chnagahn is not simply a meal but an event.

With that in mind, I wanted to share an episode of Tasting History where he makes a 4000 year old dish. And that is really dang cool.     If you haven't seen it before, all of the channel is worth checking out and see some meals from history come back to life, at least in approximate form. Also comes with some history lessons!   But if we instead want to look to the future, it's worth asking yourself; is this space empire too stupid to actually exist? That is the question answered by this youtube series.     And finally, here's some music to keep you company while you write:
There is only one way to avoid criticism; do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing
