Summer Camp 2022 - Day 11

Hello everyone!
The silver prompts are here! Leadership: exciting, and a great foundation to create some antagonist and protagonists with.   Since we are looking at Leadership, I thought we could look a little at the Character template (a bit of a hint for what's coming up tomorrow). With all the complexities of the human (or otherwise) mind, here are just some of things to think about when creating your leaders.

How do they see themselves?

Everyone has their own internal story, a way they think about how they fit into the world. As the saying goes - nobody likes to think of themself as the villain. How does your leader or character see themselves and their story in the world?

How do their friends/supporters see them?

How do their enemies/opposition see them?

Two side of the same coin - some people might see a vigilante cleaning up the streets, others a dangerous lunatic endangering everyone. Any public figure (and leaders often are, in some sense) will always have people who are affected differently by their decision, and will see them in different ways

How does the public see them?

If the two other questions concern those more immediately affected by or involved with the character or leader, what about those with a more neutral outlook? Those who either think it's "just politics", or watch the cult from the outside, or have yet to really form an opinion. Do they see a harmless quack, a growing threat to the status quo, or that weird guy from TV who's now apparently running shit?     The podcast Behind the Bastard is an excellent source, digging deep into the history and personalities of all sorts of terrible people. Highly recommended in general, excellent for really rounding out your rogue's gallery.     And some WA articles of various characters!
