Isthmus of Ereg (err-REG)

This is the Isthmus that connects the Orcish homelands of large plains and wild grasslands to the mainland deserts and savanna. Long ago on this spot the Orcs  god of Gruumish fought a battle with Asmodeus over who controls the orcs and who they are to worship. In a final desperate move to keep his place over the orcs, Gruumish forced the land to withdraw into the sea, leaving but this little bridge of land to cross from the Orc plains to the deserts controled by Asmodeus and his underlings. To protect, and jealously keep his orcs to himself, Gruumish spawned hundreds of new species of flora and fauna specifically designed to kill and ravage any living things that attempted to walk through this isthmus.
