Spiegsburg
A large town situated on the confluence of two rivers and at the foot of a large hill. Due to its location, the town is very old as the river confluence naturally attracted people and the hill has always had some fortification or other. The current fortification is still called the Spiegsburg, as the town was named after the original fortification built there around 1100. However, the current buildings are actually fairly new, built in the 19th century. Though it has been in use as an actual fortification, it is rather more ornamental than one might necessarily expect and indeed uses a great many mirrors in reference to the original name (though this original name was actually in reference to the sunlight reflecting on the rivers below).
Much of the oldest part of town is situated on the point or "tongue" of land extending out into the river confluence. It has always been considered both a very industrious town and a trading hub for the region. The rivers played a large part in these industries, as many of them used the rivers for water power.
Spiegsburg is the birthplace of Artur and he spent his youth and early adulthood there.
