The Title of Nameless is considered the greatest honor that one who pursues knowledge could ever receive. It’s a Title bestowed on individuals who meet the criteria for becoming a ‘walking analytical library.’

It’s essentially the closest we can ever be to what The Founding Nameless was. Documenting The World in its most basic form is difficult, impossible for one person alone, it takes numerous attempts of experimentation and connecting knowledge to even begin to guess how something works. While the Founding Nameless could look at a plant and say – ‘Oh, enchanted plants have vectors and that’s what allowed for the evolution of amplified characteristics;’ we sit here, scratching our heads asking what Vectors even are.

The Founding Nameless was the first to travel the World and document its splendor, giving the rest of the World a starting point for defining its natural phenomena. As such those who pursue the profession of a Nameless, have a focus on the Study of the Natural World. The Founding Nameless, having held one of the Seats of Natural Law, remains a relatively unknown figure. From their origin to their abilities, we know little, but we do know that they held a strong passion for understanding The World beyond what they knew when they held a Seat of Natural Law.
It’s a romanticized dream that many free souls and ambitious individuals work tirelessly towards. If it was so easy to obtain, then regardless of its history, it may never have been held in such reverence. Numerous dream of obtaining this Title and unfortunately, many learn quite early that this profession is more than traveling the world or documenting and analyzing natural phenomena.
So how did we create a profession centered around categorizing the Natural World in a way we are unable to see it? — We didn’t.
In the most tactile sense there is an excess of raw data and speculation, and a lack of solid understanding of how this data relates to itself; understanding was something that came naturally to the Founding Nameless. They were an individual of unimaginable standards, and is even suspected to have held a Seat of Natural Law, or may have even been an Embodiment of Natural Law –

What the subsequent generations accomplished after the Founding Nameless’ passing was the creation Researchers, individuals who often specialize in certain fields of study and then coalesce into teams to compare notes. The Profession of a Nameless is specific in obtaining living, changing, knowledge so it can continue to prosper. This is where the nickname ‘Walking Libraries’ stem from.
A Nameless is able to not only create and operate a Sea Of Knowledge, but, by the very rules of its creation, are able to House the consciousness of sentient beings. As such a Nameless can House the minds of researchers within a landscape of ever expanding knowledge, allowing them to continue their research beyond the passing of their mortal bodies. A singular Nameless can increase their calculative ability, speculative, and logical deducting skills. They become the perfect environment for going through the hundreds of thousands of hypothesis’ and trials to understand The World.




Focusing on specific regions or singularities of Natural Law, anomalies within The Weave, the scope of natural terrain and their relations to weather patterns and neighboring geographical locations; any individual can spend a lifetime studying in one field, but not many can truly grasp the scope of the entirety of the World and hope to come with competent answer. Collectively we, as residents of Implacabilis, can slowly put together the mysteries of our World and how it works, but that isn’t what the Founding Nameless did. And that’s not what a Nameless aspires to do. Subsequent Nameless have the advantage of generations of study to aid them on this never-ending quest, yet they still accomplish what most researchers cannot on their own.
The Nameless leave their name behind, setting aside their individuality and singularity in exchange for the mental prowess required to peer into the Void of Implacabilis. Contrary to popular belief, The Nameless don’t become some soulless husk of what they ‘once were’ but rather they gain access to a sea of information. This sea is the store of knowledge, connections between information that their mind was incapable of making before. To reach this stage it takes years of self-discipline, mental tempering and unrelenting study. However, once they finally reach this it takes years still to return from that sea with any tangible understanding that can be tested. But once they can ground themselves back into the reality of Implacabilis, their contributions to our society’s findings are indispensable for our civilization’s rapid growth. They can calculate hundreds of scenarios and process thousands of possibilities that would have taken individuals hundreds of years to even fathom.

Everyone knows that The Nameless are important, that it’s a career worthy of reverence and awe, and find this position worthy of respect. But no one understands why. Why do we respect The Nameless? Because they can do something that most no one else can? Because they are an unparalleled genius that constantly overturn our understanding of the World? No. This is a Profession worthy of respect because they are pillars of impossibility. These people have truly chosen to look the impossible in the eye and say they are its equal. The Founding Nameless was the one true genius in our World; The Nameless are the extraordinary few that prove that even after the Founder’s passing, the impossible is nonexistent.

Normally it begins in the realms of Academic Scholars, since they are the most well rounded in terms of research. The hands on understanding from experimentation within the Sage's expertise are also grand beneficiaries, according to interviewed Nameless.

Payment & Reimbursement

Those who are able to obtain the Sea of Knowledge are granted a full year of recuperation once they've reached the stage of Nameless. After which they have accommodations waived and funding for their hypothesis and personal approximations.
No official numbers are ever released but it is rumored that they enjoy an unlimited salary of wealth. It may hold some validity due to the well known fact that there has yet to be a Nameless who cares about material wealth beyond knowledgeable usability.
