K'Taa
Born to a tribe on the Plains of the Solamnia, K’Taa has devoted himself to the Druidic life of a nomad
that travels the plains of Flan in order to protect and ensure that nature is protected from the evil that
imposing creatures, sometimes human, impose upon it. He was the sole individual in his tribe that was
called by the God Kiri-Jolith, and was looked upon disappointingly by the other druids of his tribe that all worshiped Habbakuk. They didn’t understand why he was called by a God other than theirs. Neither did
he, but he did not question the fidelity that was placed upon him.
K’Taa prefers surrounding himself by animals rather than people because he feels that people judge
others regularly, but often those same individuals lie or deceive to cover up things, animals are the
opposite. They don’t judge others. They live their lives not care-free, but not lying to cover up things
that they have done or want to do. He felt like he can be himself among the animals rather than his
tribe, so he left.
After wandering the plains for some time, he found himself drawn to, and befriended a particular red
dog (name for a bison calf) after it had lost its mother. Since finding RedDog, he has always called him by
that name, reminding K’Taa of when he found him as a calf in need. It wasn’t until then that K’Taa
realized the connection between Kiri-Jolith’s celestial symbol, the Bison’s Horn, and his connection with
Red Dog. It seemed as though they were destined to be together.
For the past 3 years they have served
each other as friends and have become very close companions. He has been able to ride Red Dog for a
couple of years now and they have had several adventures together.
One night as he slept, Kiri-Jolith called to him to travel to Kalaman and seek out a man known as Rubic.
Personality Characteristics
Personality Quirks
Preferably he does not like to live with the Human race. He feels like they are the one race that is
farthest from nature. Unfortunately, he was born as one. K’Taa believes that all other races have a
closer connection, even those rarities that are half-human, provided that they haven’t grown up
surrounded by a human culture.
Hygiene
Since he sleeps with his bison, he smells like one. He showers when it rains. Since he lives outside of
others, he has little need manors.
