Fredrick Brasden

Baron of Leicester, Vuzurg Framadhār of the Savaran, Keeper of the Silent Watch, Second Spear of the Immortal 99, Fellow of the White Riders (first sash) | Farid Rafik Barazan (a.k.a. Fredrick the Fair, "The Savaran")

This charismatic leader of the Four Heroes came to Britannia as a child. His father Khosroe Barazan served as an ambassador for Kavahd VII, the Shahanshah (King of Kings) of Pershahr. The Shahanshah commanded Barazan to go to Britannia and serve in the court of Godric I (Mortmare) in 949 PCE and allowed his diplomat to take his family with him.

For the Barazans of Savaran, the ways of the westerners were unusual indeed. The feudal nature of Britannian and Capetian politics and the realm's constant threat of military action seemed barbaric to a noble family raised within the decadent Empire of Pershahr. Fredrick's older sister Leila felt particularly dejected at becoming a stranger in this strange land.

Unlike most of his family members, however, young Farid Rafik Barazan embraced the trappings of Britannian culture and adopted the name "Fredrick" (or "Fred") very soon after arriving in London. He was engrossed by the styles and grandeur of western warriors and took great interest in the Capetian chevaliers presented in King Godric's court. Against his father's advisement, Fredrick insisted upon being fostered in a noble Britannian house in order that he might receive martial training and an education in Britannian language, letters, and history. While squiring in the house of Duke Samson Cranford of Kent, Fredrick began a lifelong friendship with another squire named Taylor Meddowes.

When Lord Barazan was assassinated in the early stages of the Dispute of Northern Succession Fredrick swore to avenge his father's death. Initially blaming Britannian reactionaries, Fredrick came to learn the Hidden Hand of the Princes lay behind the plot.

After failing to stop the disastrous Battle of Somerset Fredrick embarked on a personal war against the Princes and began recruiting allies to aid him in his struggle. This band of comrades came to be known as the Four Heroes and gained great fame in the ensuing age of heroic conflict that eventually unseated the Princes and overthrew their Hidden Empire.
