Chastain family establishes the Southern Trading Company

Nearly two decades after the Emissaries of Pachuco established normalized relations with Noirlan Free State, Andegalli Chastain secured a pact with Taurou Vidal to create a maritime transport and exploration company that would come to dominate the new Silent Sea trade routes of the Forbidden Zone. Vidal, the governing chief of Noirlan's Crescent Council, granted the Chastains an exclusive concession through Farport Outpost in exchange for the Chastain family's naval assistance in securing the Vidal coastal plantation colonies. The Chastain-Vidal pact effectively gave the Chastains' new Southern Trading Company a monopoly on the new Forbidden Zone trade routes and through this monopoly House Chastain rose to become one of the premier patrician families in the Noirlan Free State.
