Black Tarn

The Black Tarn is a large dark lake in Southern Mirkwood into which the Dusky River empties. It is rumoured to be the main home of the River-maidens and a nomadic group of Men of Wilderland consider it home. in 2948 at the Folkmoot in Rhosgobel, the Men of Wilderland voted to help build a permanent settlement on its banks.
