An exert on the New Gods

The New Gods are a third strand of divinity among the Old and Ascended Gods however they exist as only semi-divine as all their power and strength proceeds directley from the former. This is because all New Gods prior to their minor ascension were all mortals that had sat upon the golden throne in the palace of Mah'vre, the throne was left in the city by the Old Gods as a way for humanity to continue their plans and agenda even once they had departed the world, as they knew many humans would clamour for the power granted by audience upon the throne however by enthroneing oneself your mind will become subject to the will and agenda of the Old Gods becoming in a sense a puppet, thouhg this is not known to the prospector even after the ascension. By sitting upon the throne the subject in an instant is mentally transported to a void or abyss taking the shape of a rocky with oragne skies and an eclispe hanging over it where a person will face amny challenges before coming face to face with themselves as a New God where they will then accept their ascension. Upon returning to the waking world the subject will find that no time has passed, yet they will find themselves in their altered body befitting of their new status, the form a New God takes depends heavily on who they were in life and the values they held. However altogether they will find themselves strengthened mentally and physically beocming almost superhuman and gaining a vast amount of arcane knowledge and mastery over the magical arts. Then most New Gods venture forth from the city of Mah'vre back into the wilder world where some may become saints and phrophets ascimilating into the Mainline Church whereas some become warlords and tyrants and some even rulers though in these cases they often mask their status as semi-divine beings. However some do remain in the ancient city and act as it custodeans watching over its grand libraries and troves of wealth and other resources while maintaining their own projects to their hearts content no matter how depraved. However this all comes at a cost beyond becoming a slave to the agenda of the Old Gods as your soul is removed from the cycle and once you die you shall know neither the graces of heaven nor the burning agony of the sulfur pits as you shall be placed into the hall of Gods where you must remain in stillness and servitude for the rest of eternity.
