Alex Lorrain grew up in the miner's guild. His father was a miner who discovered a small vein of gold in the local mine which led to Alex getting enough of an education that he was able to become the guild steward instead of a miner. Alex is proud of his place in society as it allowed his father to retire as a miner instead of working until the day he died.
