Mushrooms

Overview

Mushrooms are magical fungi that have different effects depending on the type of mushroom that are ingested.  Each type of mushroom has different types of effects, and are great ingredients to be used in potions. No more than three mushrooms can be eaten at any one time for cumulative effect without consequences.  
When eating the Fos Mushroom, there is an increase of strength for half a mark (300 rounds). Then sleep is automatic to replenish energy. These mushrooms work well in a variety of potions.

Mushrooms

Name Mushroom Type Benefit Or Damage Description of Mushroom
Fos Strength +5 to strength for 30 minutes, and then need to sleep for 2 hours red capped mushroom with white sprinkles on top, light brown, almost white under cap and stem; peppery and earthy taste
Barci Sleep Instantly fall into a deep sleep for 8 hours, cannot be awaken for anything short of physical damage to the sleeping person (at least 2d4 damage) Yellow, upside down cap with a yellowish orange stem; hearty and nutty flavor
Geri Heal Each color of mushroom heals different amounts of damage:
  • Pink: 1d6
  • Yellow: 1d6 +2
  • Grey: 1d6 +4
  • White: 1d8
  • Blue: 1d8 +3
Colors can not be mixed together without consequences.
caps and stems come in a variety of colors (yellow, white, grey, blue, pink - all pastel versions of the colors woodsey flavor, chewy raw, silky and creamy when cooked
Skade Disease 1d8 disease damage, must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be diseased.  If diseased, must take 1d8 diseased damage at the start of each turn (every 6 seconds).  At the end of each turn, must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or continue to be diseased. dried honeycomb, brown, bulbous caps with light brown stems; savory, almost bitter flavor
Yad Poison 1d6 poison damage, must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be Poisoned. If poisoned, must take 1d6 poison damage at the start of each turn (every 6 seconds). At the end of each turn, must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or continue to be poisoned. caps are bright golden with a flair at the top, stems start golden and fade to a light yellow at the bottom; peppery and fruity flavor
Dezi Desire Must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or be Overwhelmed By Lust. If overwhelmed, the action for each turn (every 6 seconds) must be to actively proposition the closest PC, NPC, or creature. At the end of each turn, must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw or continue to be overwhelmed. Bright orange and yellow caps, found on trees; tastes like chicken
Jevri Sight These mushrooms give one of four vision related abilities for 30 minutes.  Roll a 1d4 to see which one is received.
  1. Darkvison for 30 ft.
  2. Blindsight for 30 ft.
  3. True Sight for 30 ft.
  4. Tremor Sense for 30 ft

Cumulative Effects

No more than three mushrooms can be eaten at any one time. The cumulative effects are of duration and/or benefit/damage depending on the mushroom.    Per Mushroom

Skade Disease Each successful saving throw only takes away one dice of damage. Must get down to 0 dice of damage before no longer diseased. Additional 1d8 points of damage
Yad Poison Each successful saving throw only takes away one dice of damage. Must get down to 0 dice of damage before no longer poisoned. Additional 1d6 points of damage
Dezi Desire Each successful saving throw only takes away one dice of damage. Must get down to 0 dice of damage before no longer overwhelmed. For each mushroom ingested, the character must be more aggressive in their attempts to bed the PC, NPC, or creature.
Jevri Sight If receive the same sight ability as before, the receive additional 30 minutes of time to that ability.  If receive a different sight ability, then the abilities run parallel for their lengths of time.  Roll for additional sight ability.
   

Consequences

  When ingesting more than three of a kind of mushroom in a single day, their effects are overridden and cause damage 2d10 worth of damage to the person.  Ingesting different types of mushrooms at the same time before the effects of the original mushroom wears off caused 2d12 worth of damage.
