2572: The group of adventurers that brought back the first stone only had the paths of animals to follow. There were mentions in a history book of a group of bird people that lived in a mountain city called The Aviary long ago, but that they were wiped out by a plague many generations ago. No book, scoll, or tome mentioned what mountain range that The Aviary called home. The history book talked about how beautiful the world looked from up so high and how the bird people would spread their wings and take flight to get from one mountain peak to the other, but then would glide down to the city below. This led the group of adventurers to look for a mountain range that had multiple high peaks with a valley in the middle. They found three such mountain ranges. The first was still home to the dwarves, so they knew it wasn't that one. The second one was across Deephaven Ocean so they put it on the list to try after the third option. The third was Highwynne Mountains, which was much closer than the second option. They found what they were looking for in that valley. Now: It has now been 273 years. The area around The Aviary has grown up into a town of it own that supports the scholars that regular come and go in their pursuit of knowledge of the Adelaar and their language. It wasn't until 2718 that the scholars were able to start translating the pictographs. The only fully recognizable pictograph on the first stone found in 2572.
