The Eye of Lliautand

I look up at my foremost master, waiting, ready for my reward. This has been so long in the coming, this is what I deserve. I have earned this entirely. It is time.
"Little servant, you really have been faithful, even when things have not gone our way." His voice still shakes my body, thrilling. He radiates such power; I'm still striving to get to that level. "The final play is coming. The Hacende's are rising to power again, as are their people."
He places a claw against my head, pressing hard, cutting deep. I clench my fits, digging my fingers into my legs as blood runs down my face. Scraping bone, fracturing, oh it hurts.
"This will aid you in fighting them, give you the wisdom and sight you need to fight the Eledrhim." He presses it into my forehead. Pain, it grows into my skull. I start screaming but it's going to be worth it; power, knowledge, this is my time. It surges through me, granting me the new sight I so have earned.
I open my eyes. I hadn't realized I'd fainted. There's a lot of blood on the ground. Hist is licking it up, licking my face. I smack her away, sitting up, world spinning.
"Open the Eye." Master's voice causes me pain. I focus, feeling the Eye move and twitch painfully. Then it opens. I gasp, laugh, scream. Now I can truly see! Now I'm truly ready.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

It grants them a new sight. With it the wearer can always see, and it grants them a very terrifying new knowledge, a special connection to Lliautand's library and mind. With it they also have the ability to look into a person's mind with a lot less effort, which is horrifying considering that the current user, Suiathion, is already a powerful telepath to begin with, this gives him the ability to override almost anyone's willpower and get straight into their heads. The danger is that he can also take possession of their bodies once inside their mind. It is a very favorite trick of his and it takes a very special, very powerful and very difficult to place ward to prevent him from being able to use the Eye on someone.

Significance

It is the greatest mark of Lliautand, a sign of his most powerful servant. His warlord, the commander of his forces. It is their third eye.

The Eye of Lliautand has had two other users that we know of. That's not a lot but it's still an impressive number. Suiathion is the third and unfortunately, he's the most skilled of the three. This has led him to be able to do things that the other two haven't been able to do and is proving to be even more of a threat than before.

The Eye is simple. It has black sclarea, a red iris and a fragmented purple and silver pupil. It's only slightly larger than a normal eye but it causes the skin around it to gain veins, in Eledhrim those veins are purple. Really, it's nasty but it has power. A lot of power. Even when it's magic isn't being used it gives off a nerveracking, terrifying aura.
