Corso Cannoneers

Militarum Regimentum Corso Cannoneers of Astra Militarum is the only Regimentum within two sectors. The regimentum is a relatively new one, their charter approved by Departo Munitorum in 092.M38, due to lack of Militarum presence in local galactic area. Departmento Exacta adjusted tithes sector-wide to accomodate the formation of the regimentum.₁

Organization

The regimental command is situated on the only moon of Corso, along with cursory naval base on the orbit.
Most of the logistics, staging areas, barracks, bases and fortifications are all situated on the main continent of the planet. Key fortifications are placed around the planet to best contain the orkish tribes that infect the planet.

Orkish wars

The orkish presence on Corso proper was first reported early M41. Conflicting reports show that --REDACTED BY ORDO XENOS--
The regimentum keeps the ork tribes contained on the planet, and tests ordnance and tactics against them. The training regimen for new conscripts includes combat engagements with smaller ork forces.
